Put the cabbage in the cold water in the evening.
The next day, clean the stalks, cut the fidelita and squeeze well.
In a saucepan, fry the cleaned and finely chopped onion in oil for 3-4 minutes.
Add the chopped tomatoes, pepper paste, bay leaves and pepper and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
Add the cabbage, mix well and turn off the heat.
The ciolan is boiled in water with a little salt until it boils.
Drain the water and cut into pieces.
In a pan greased with oil, put the pieces of ciolan and place the cabbage evenly on top.
Put a cup of water and put in the oven over medium heat for 2-3 hours.
From time to time, mix and remove the pieces of ciolan on top to brown.
Towards the end, add the chopped dill and thyme and mix well.
When it is done and nicely browned, it is ready.
Serve hot with polenta! (I also eat onions with her)
