We clean the apples and remove the stalks.
Place the apples in a round tray and place the butter on top of them and then sprinkle the 3 tablespoons of sugar and bake for a few minutes until the sugar caramelizes.
After removing the apples from the oven, leave them to cool a bit.
We prepare the dough as follows:
-separate the egg whites from the yolks;
- beat the egg whites with a little salt;
- in a kettle we put the sugar with water until it boils and the sugar melts forming a syrup;
-add the syrup gradually, over the beaten egg whites and continue to mix;
-add the yolks, oil, vanilla essence;
-add the flour and this time mix with a wooden spoon until well incorporated.
-add the resulting dough over the apples and the walnut kernel and bake for approx. 30-40 minutes on low heat until golden brown.
